I am from Memphis, Tennessee, a place of hardships and humidity. I moved to Bozeman fifteen years ago with no plan except to leave the south. The only thing I brought with me was some clothes and my paintings. I decided when I was six that I would do art the rest of my life. It has been the only constant in my life, through family matters, through relationships, jobs, everything. I am not concerned with trends, I paint whatever I want, depending on my mood. One minute I am painting ghost towns and trout, the next minute I am painting Greek mythology on canvases with golden ratio dimensions. I’m obsessed with the old master and ancient writing, but I also love modern mediums such as digital art and synthetic colors. From the moment my family bought our first home computer and I played with the painter program that came with it I have been in love with digital art. Since then I have worked to merge physical art and digital art. It has taken twenty years for the technology to catch up with my dreams. Drawing directly onto the computer screen with a digital pencil. To my thirteen year old self, this is the power of a god. My only desire is to make people forget about their worries when they look at my work.
