Roe V Wade Anniversary Comedy Benefit
Roe V Wade Anniversary Comedy Benefit
On January 22, 1973, the United States Supreme Court ruled in favor of a woman’s right to choose. Forty-six years later, we’re coming together to recognize this anniversary and support the nonprofit that helps Montanans access the right to choose for themselves as an integral pillar of the women's rights movement. Join us for a night of stand-up comedy, raffle prizes and more, featuring some of the Treasure State’s funniest comics! All proceeds benefit the Susan Wicklund Fund, Montana’s only nonprofit fund continuing the support and access for the Treasure State.
Sarah Aswell
Sarah Aswell
Sarah Aswell is a stand-up comedian and humor writer whose work has appeared in places like The New Yorker, McSweeney’s, National Lampoon, MAD Magazine, Splitsider, Funny or Die, and Reductress. An alum of the Big Sky Comedy Festival, she was a runner-up for the Indy’s Best Comedian of 2017 and 2018, and Thrillist recently named her the Best Undiscovered Comic in Montana.
Will Thomas
Will Thomas
You know how you meet a person, and you KNOW they’re destined for better things? That’s not Will. Exuding East Coast brevity with West Coast levity, Will effortlessly bridges distinct cultures of mountain and urban life together with whimsical observation and an innocence unperturbed by social norms. Or he’s just oblivious. You be the judge! Winner of both Missoula Homegrown and Montana Comedy Competitions in 2016.
Crystal Koosman
Crystal Koosman
Crystal Koosman started her comedy career in Minneapolis in 2009 after watching a friend onstage and thinking, “I could do that.” Since then, she’s gone on to perform in venues large and small, from Minnesota to Montana. She is proud to call the Missoula comedy scene her home. Recently, she hosted a comedy sock drive, collecting over 300 pairs of new warm socks to benefit a homeless shelter in Missoula.
Aislinn O'Connor
Aislinn O'Connor
Comedian Aislinn O’Connor got her start in the Portland, Oregon, standup scene, performing at popular showcases such as Keep It Like a Secret and Fly-Ass Jokes. Since moving to Bozeman in 2016, Aislinn has been a featured performer at local monthly showcases such as ComedyGate and Cackling Eagles. She also organized a winter 2018 comedy show at the Roxy Theater in Missoula to benefit Montana nonprofits.
Jeffrey Strock
Jeffrey Strock
Jeffrey has been involved in the Bozeman art community since 2009. Whether it’s local theater, music, or comedy, he’s done a little bit of everything and loves being a part of the growing Bozeman comedy scene. These days, he hosts local comedy open mics and performs sets around the state, including the Rialto Lightbox Series and Cackling Eagles.
